If you’re tired of Twitch streamers, you’ll hate Clover Fest, the inaugural festival by Kai Cenat’s streamer collective the Clover Boys. To hear member Tylil tell it, they’re “a little chaotic, very loud, [and] our bond is unbreakable.” And if you hate the Clover Boys, well, that’s alright by them.

“They going to stay tuned regardless,“ says Clover Fest organizer Ebrima Barnett. “You can’t miss us.”

“As long as people love great content and great people, Clover Boys will be hot,“ his twin brother Adamh adds.

Clover Fest took place at MVP Arena in Albany, NY, over the weekend, featuring performances from Meek Mill, JT, Chuckyy, Hurricane Wisdom, Zeddy Will and more, alongside live-streaming by the Clover Boys.

Putting streamers and musicians near the same level is a little ridiculous for sure (Ebrima calls them the new rockstars), but I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss content creators out of hand. They’re bellwethers, not gatekeepers: Tylil, Rakai, Dezz, and co. don’t want to lead a cultural moment, they want to enjoy it alongside their fans.

“I feel we are today’s culture and to grow is to not stay boxed in! Also, it gives us time to spend some time vibing with our supporters,” Dezz explains. “Who wouldn’t wanna combine great music and love in one room annually?”

While the team is adamant about wanting to take Clover Fest on the road across America, with goals of becoming the next big music festival (Tylil has Drake, Don Toliver, and Playboi Carti on his dream lineup), starting in Albany was strategic.

“Moments like these don’t happen in Albany,” Adamh explains. “New York City, a lot of things happen out there, so they’re not going to see it as impactful. It’s also good to start somewhere where it’s small, and help the businesses and the people in the area.”

Organizer Ebrima Barnett says JT was the hardest artist to get on the Clover Fest lineup, and “so worth it.”
