When: 1st – 3rd June 2023
Where: Euston Hall, Suffolk, England
Held in the idyllic surroundings of Euston Hall, with its 300 acres of historical private gardens and beautiful rolling parkland, Red Rooster Festival is an annual celebration of the very best in Cajun, Soul, Rock ‘n Roll, Roots, Blues, and Country music.
Back in December we brought you news of the first wave of artists to be announced for this year’s festival, including the event’s first headliner, Fantastic Negrito, the superb American singer-songwriter whose music spans blues, R&B, and roots music; his fellow American, the celebrated country singer-songwriter, Nikki Lane; and San Francisco’s Chuck Prophet and The Mission Express, who will be making their first appearance in this country in six years.
Now we can bring you further exciting news as Red Rooster 2023 reveals its second line-up announcement. The second headliner will be Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, the highly celebrated contemporary Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, and Soul musician from Clarksdale, Mississippi in the United States.
And in what is a major coup for Red Rooster’s organisers, they have also booked the Take Me to the River Allstars featuring some of the most influential figures in Mississippi Delta and New Orleans funk, R&B, soul and jazz.
Other artists scheduled to make the journey to Euston Hall over the first three days in June include one of the standout stars from the 2021 event, His Lordship; the wonderful Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Nicole Atkins who will be making her only UK full band performance at this year’s Red Rooster; and Mississippi’s Shardé Thomas & Rising Stars.
Further artists who will be appearing at Red Rooster 2023 include: Scott H. Biram, Michael Messer’s Mitra, Ashley Campbell, Hank Wangford’s Big Bass Combo, The Hanging Stars Acoustic Duo, The Filthy Six featuring Francesca Belmonte, Bobby Lee, Morton Valence, Legends of Country, The Jonny Halifax Invocation, Our Man In The Field, Eileen Rose, Honkeyfinger, DeadBeatz, Dylan Kirk & The Killers, The Men Who Fell To Earth, Toria Woof, Frank From Blue Velvet, Jason McNiff, Joli Blon Cajun Band, Dave Sutherland, and The Cobbler Bob String Band.
