NEWS: more line-up additions for Moseley Folk Festival

The ever-wonderful Moseley Folk and Arts Festival has added even more artists to this year’s line-up.

With ticket sales already at a record-breaking high, among the latest additions to the 17th edition of the event, are the Oxford indie folk band and one of the highlights of the 2011 festival, Stornoway (Sunday), rising comedy star Josh Pugh (Sunday) – who will be joined by the Birmingham Comedy FestivalBreaking Talent Award 2022 winner, Hannah Weetman – and the highly rated Wolverhamptonsinger-songwriter Scott Matthews (Saturday).

Further musical additions include songwriter/musician Rozi Plain (Saturday), who has just released her fifth album, Prize; Americana duo My Darling Clementine, Malawi’s Madalitso Band and Louie Miles, winner of last year’s inaugural Janice Long Bursary (Friday); The Magic Numbers’ Michele Stodart, Ezio, Ireland’s The Armagh Rhymers and Vinny Peculiar (Saturday); and English folk trio Granny’s Attic (Sunday).

They will all be joining the previously announced headliners Squeeze, Graham Nash, Gwenno and Blindboy (Friday); The Saw Doctors and comedian Lou Sanders (Saturday); and Wilco, The Proclaimers and Old Time Sailors (Sunday).

The festival is also welcoming broadcaster and musician Mark Radcliffe (Saturday), while spoken word festival Verve hosts appearances from Bohdan Piasecki and Birmingham’s Poet Laureate Jasmine Gardosi (Saturday and Sunday).

John Fell, Moseley Folk and Arts Festival Manager, said: “The response to the festival line-up so far has been incredible – this has been the fastest-selling festival we’ve ever had!

“So, we’re really excited to be announcing Stornoway’s return and Josh Pugh, as well as partnerships with Verve Festival and Birmingham Comedy Festival.”

Tickets are now available priced at £145 (adult, weekend), £57 (adult, day), £65 (U18, weekend), £32 (U18, day) and £320 (family) – plus booking fees.
