Billed as being “a curated journey of cutting-edge debate and a rich programme of ideas with spectacular musical performances for audiences seeking an alternative festival experience”, back in December KITE Festival announced its first wave of acts who will appear at this year’s event, including Hot Chip, Suede, Candi Staton, and a wealth of alternative music you will find across the second stage curated by Heavenly Records as well as the Bloom and The Skylark Social stages.
In addition to these names, KITE Festival has now revealed that the legendary Pretenders will now be appearing at KITE 2023 alongside other newly announced acts, Django Django and Ezra Collective.
Furthermore, this year’s festival will feature a very special appearance by multi-award winning Hollywood icon and bestselling author, Dame Joan Collins. The British politician and the man who was the last Governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten and the renowned historian and political scientist, Rana Mitter will also be there to discuss China’s relationship with the West. Rachel Reeves, the current Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, will be in conversation with James Harding and Susanna Hoffs will be talking about her life being the front person of the seminal band The Bangles.
They will be joining the previously announced – the author and inspirational speaker, Simon Sinek, Guardian columnist, Marina Hyde, journalist and author, Dylan Jones, and Miki Berenyi from the band, Lush.
