Lily Allen is going on her biggest headline North American tour yet.
The British superstar burst back onto the scene this year via her album West End Girl, her harrowing musical account of her marriage to (and separation from) Stranger Things actor David Harbor.
The surprise release followed a musically quiet period of Allen’s career, with her last record No Shame coming out in 2018. With West End Girl, though, Allen has firmly re-established herself as one of pop’s most unflinching and darkly comical writers.
Allen skyrocketed to global fame in the mid-aughts with her debut record, Alright, Still, which featured the chart topping smash, “Smile”. Allen had never quite gotten back to her debut’s commercial dominance, but her 2025 return has similarly captured the zeitgeist, with fans finding solace in Allen’s honesty and pop perfect songwriting.
She had already announced a massive U.K. tour, where she’ll be performing multiple dates at the likes of London’s O2 arena, leaving fans outside of the U.K. waiting with bated breath. Her tour announcement immediately sparked excitement from Allen’s legions of American and Canadian fans, both new and old.
Allen has been open about her hesitation to tour, sharing with CBS Morning that the she hasn’t contended with the negotiating the adrenaline and chaos of touring since getting sober in 2019.
“I’m nervous,” she told CBS’s Anthony Mason about going on the road again “I don’t think there’s any risk of anything happening, but it’s a real adrenaline rush that you get when you’re on a stage and people responding to your words and when you come off stage that adrenaline is rushing around your body and looking for a place to get out.”
Hopefully it will be of some solace that Allen is set to be met with the love and adoration of her fans, many of whom feel more connected to her than ever following this very personal, remarkably truthful album.
