Survival is the quiet thread running through everything Tyra creates. Even when her songs explore heartbreak, healing, light, or empowerment, they all point back to the same truth: Tyra is a survivor, and her music carries that story forward.
In December 2023, her father, Sigi Zachmann, a well-known figure in Swiss motocross, suffered a severe motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed. Just one month later, in January 2024, Tyra was diagnosed with cancer. Those moments forced a complete re-evaluation of life, time, and purpose. Tyra chose music as a commitment, and started pouring her heart and soul in realizing her dream.
By December 2024, Tyra began working with producer Dominik Rivinius at Boogie Park Studios, starting to write and record original material that blends dark-pop textures with accessible melodies. At the same time, she began building an online presence, sharing covers, connecting with listeners, and opening up about her journey.
Her debut single “Thank You For Leaving” captures survival through healing. The song reframes a toxic relationship as a turning point. Through this song Tyra wants to show that walking away can be an act of strength. It stands as an anthem for anyone who has survived emotional harm and come out stronger.
Meanwhile, “Don’t Be Shy” shows another side of survival: confrontation. The song calls out emotional avoidance and disrespect, demanding honesty and accountability. It’s assertive, and sharp: a powerful statement on how reclaiming your voice becomes empowerment.
Then there is “Light Me Up.” Released on August 14, 2025, the track focuses on finding hope inside darkness. “Light me up, when I’m feeling down,” Tyra sings, pulling listeners into the emotional center of the song. The animated music video mirrors that journey, moving symbolically from shadow toward light.
Taken together, these songs tell one story. Tyra doesn’t just sing about survival, she lives it. Through dark-pop soundscapes, honest lyrics, and emotional contrast, her music reminds listeners that vulnerability and strength can exist side by side, and that even after everything, it is still possible to hold onto hope and find the light.
