It’s already been a quarter century since Del The Funky Homosapian, Kid Koala, and Dan the Automator teamed up as Deltron 3030 to release their acclaimed, eponymous album. If you haven’t heard it, the project is a standout of turn-of-the-century underground rap, inspired by trip-hop and cyberpunk anime in equal measure (Automator was seriously in his bag for this era, producing Kool Keith’s 1999 classic Dr. Octagonecologyst, the self-titled Gorillaz debut, and both albums by Handsome Boy Modelling School. What a time.)
This summer, the group are reunited for a series of tour dates, taking their classic on the road across North America and Canada and performing the entire album in full. Starting in Vancouver this July, the tour spans 16 shows including a finale in New York on October 6. See all the dates below. And if you can’t catch any of those, don’t worry: the trio are working on a brand new album, the follow-up to 2013’s Phase 2.
