Love Rocks NYC, the annual and beloved benefit concert in support of God’s Love We Deliver, will be livestreamed on FANS.Live. The event is set to take place tomorrow, March 9, at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, marking its seventh gathering and will welcome musicians, comedians and personalities in support of the non-profit’s admirable cause.
2023’s gathering will welcome Stephen Colbert, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Mavis Staples, St. Vincent, James Taylor, Stephen Marley, Gary Clark Jr., Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Rufus Wainwright, Jim James, Allison Russell, the War and Treaty and Bernie Williams – all of whom fans may now enjoy from the comfort of their homes.
The house band for the event, as always, is also stacked with the talent of session and touring musicians, including guitarist Larry Campbell, drummer Steve Gadd and Pedrito Martinez on percussion. Notably, Will Lee will act as the evening’s music director.
Along with the beloved The Late Show host, there will be special appearances from iconic personalities, including Chevy Chase, Andy Cohen, and Phoebe Robinson, who are sure to keep the spirit in the room light while raising awareness for the event’s charitable purpose: raising funds for God’s Love We Deliver.
“Producing this annual benefit concert is a labor of love,” said the co-executive producer of Love Rocks NYC, Greg Williamson. “We are committed to supporting God’s Love and New York City over the long term. Giving back is what makes us the happiest, and to be able to do so through the power of music is as gratifying as it gets.”
God’s Love We Deliver was founded that was founded in the mid-’80s during the height of the AIDS Crisis. Through joint efforts, they cook and deliver food to people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. They stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic and positively affected the lives of many New Yorkers. Since Love Rocks NYC began in 2017, the event has helped raise over $25 million and helped fund over 2.5 million meals.
