Elon Musk reacts to ‘SNL’ impression: “They are so mad Trump won”

Elon Musk has reacted to Saturday Night Live‘s (SNL) parody of him following Donald Trump‘s election win last week – see what the Tesla and X owner had to say.

The Republican nominee won the required number of electoral college votes in the November 5 election to secure the presidency for the second time, also defeating Democrat candidate Kamala Harris in the popular vote.

On the November 9 episode of SNL, comedian Dana Carvey debuted his new impression of Musk, which came during the episode’s cold open in which the cast jokingly claimed they had been supporting him all along in fear of being hunted down.

For the impression, Carvey jumped up and down and danced before breaking out an exaggerated South African accent: “Check it out: dark MAGA. Yeah! But seriously, I run the country now. America’s going to be like one of my rockets. They’re super cool and super fun, but there’s a slight chance it could blow up and everybody dies. Haha!”

Now, Musk has shared his thoughts on the impression on X: “They are so mad that [Donald Trump] won. In a separate post, he directly responded to Carvey’s impression: “Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey.”

In a third and final post on the matter, Musk wrote about the entire skit: “SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality. Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further.”

Elsewhere, a host of artists have expressed their dismay at Trump being re-elected as President of the United States including Madonnawho wrote: “Trying to get my head around why a convicted felon, rapist, bigot was chosen to lead our country because he’s good for the economy?”.

Billie Eilish was visibly emotional while performing at a concert and dedicated ‘Your Power’ to her female fans. “Someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be the President. This song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you,” she added.

Jack White shared a blistering attack on social media, in which he lambasted Trump and made a point to highlight several groups who will be affected by the convicted felon’s presidency: “Americans chose a known, obvious fascist and now America will get whatever this wannabe dictator wants to enact from here on in… Immigrants?

“He wants you out. Minorities? He doesn’t care about you at ALL. Women? You know exactly what he thinks of you. Dying on the stretcher from a miscarriage of your rapist’s pregnancy?”

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez also offered their fans comfort after Trump was re-elected as the President of the United States.

Kid Rock, who has been a longtime supporter of Trump, shared a message on social media following Trump’s re-election: “First off, let me convey to my family, friends, and supporters that now is not the time to gloat.”

“We must remember that most of our left-leaning friends are good people, who want the same things in life as we do, but simply think differently on how to get there. It is now time to be the bigger man, to extend an olive branch and unite all reasonable people of this great nation.”
