Today, Dave Matthews Band shared they’ll set out on a tour of the United States this summer while announcing their 10th studio album, Walk Around The Moon, set to drop on the same day their tour kicks off on May 19. Along with the album and tour announcement, Dave Mathews Band dished out the first taste of the 12-track project, which was shaped during the COVID-19 pandemic and reflects upon the times while encouraging listeners to find common ground, “Madman’s Eyes.”

Like the rest of Walk Around The Moon, “Madman’s Eyes” was recorded by producer Rob Evans and executive produced by longtime Dave Matthews Band collaborator John Alagia. The song sees the band entwine Middle Eastern inclinations with glided horns and strings, which the ensemble are so widely renowned for. On the track–which debuted at Nationwide Arena in Columbus in November of 2022–Dave Matthews sings, asking, “When it’s too late to untwist the knife / How do we face hatred with the love inside us.”

Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour will kick off after a trio of dates in Mexico at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, on May 19. From there, the ensemble will make stops across the country performing for two nights in Wilmington, N.C.; Charleston, S.C.; Noblesville, Ind.; Chicago; Gilford, N.H.; Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Camden, N.J.; West Palm Beach, Fla., and Irvine, Calif. Other notable cities include Nashville, Tenn., Bend, Ore., Columbia, Md., Hartford, Conn., Dallas, Cincinnati, and Forest Hills, N.Y., where the band will play their first show at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in New York on June 9. Dave Matthews Band will conclude their travels with a three-day Labor Day weekend stint at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., in what has become a tradition on Sept. 1-3.

An online ticket presale for members of the Dave Matthews Band Warehouse Fan Association is currently underway and can be accessed here. Citi is the official card of the 2023 tour, and card members will have access to presale tickets starting Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m., through Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. local time.
