California rock band ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) have announced an extension to their highly successful Silver Saturdays tour, which celebrates the band’s 25th anniversary and promotes their new album Silver Saturdays, out now via Brushfire Records.
The Silver Saturdays tour has already sold out several shows along the West Coast, but the new dates to the tour accommodate the high demand. After their appearance at SunFest 2023 at West Palm Beach, Fla., on May 6–for those that couldn’t get into a sold-out Fillmore show–the band has added two shows at the beautiful Bruns Amphitheater in Orinda, Calif., on Aug. 5 and 6. The sold-out Carmel show is back on the calendar on Aug. 3, and for those who had their tickets canceled (and refunded) at Crystal Bay, Nev., due to a blizzard/melt cycle, the band is pleased to announce they will be playing Brews, Jazz & Funk at Palisades Tahoe on Aug. 12.
From there, they’ll head across the country to the iconic Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, N.Y., for a show on Aug. 15, followed by shows at The Warehouse in Fairfield, Conn., on Aug. 16; Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Aug. 17; Harrisburg, Pa.’s XL Live; a TBA show on Aug. 19; and finally an appearance at Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, Md. on Oct. 1. Notably during their performance at Brooklyn Bowl they’ll share the bill with Honey Island Swamp Band.
The band, which consists of Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (guitar/vocals), Zach Gill (keyboards/vocals), Steve Adams (bass/vocals), and Ezra Lipp (drums/vocals), has been busy touring along the West Coast as they celebrate their 25th year together. The band’s new album, “Silver Saturdays,” stands out as their first full-length studio release featuring drummer/vocalist Ezra Lipp. Meanwhile, the title nods to the band’s recent penchant for silver attire at their Saturday shows, which became a costume theme amongst their fan base and an acknowledgment of their silver “25th” anniversary.
Fans who missed the West Coast shows or wish to relive them can now access the audio from all West Coast shows exclusively on nugs.net. The band has also shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Silver Saturdays to give fans an inside look at the creative process.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 5, at 10 a.m. EST. Learn more and find tickets here.
