This week Brent Faiyaz announced his third album Icon is out February 13. It’s his first full length since his 2023 mixtape Larger Than Life. Check out the ambient trailer for the album above.
The 10-song album will be executive produced by Raphael Saadiq, who Brent previously worked with on WASTELAND tracks “Angel,” “Loose Change,” and “Ghetto Gatsby” featuring Alicia Keys.
The video for lead single “have to.” dropped on Halloween. Text in that video said Icon was slated for a September 19 release until Brent pulled the plug on the album the night before.
The album tracklist omits the previously released “tony soprano.” and “peter pan.” Producers on the album include Chad Hugo, Paperboy Fabe, Dpat, Dilip, Tommy Richman, L3gion, and Benny Blanco, among others. Check out the video for “have to.” and the full Icon tracklist below.
