Manchester Orchestra have today shared their new single, ‘Telepath’. The song is the third and final single from the band’s forthcoming new album, The Million Masks of God, due out on April 30 via Loma Vista Recordings. The track is accompanied by a moving video directed by Isaac Deitz, conceptualised by singer/guitarist Andy Hull, and filmed in one long shot, featuring dancers representing a couple as they age and love through the decades.
‘Telepath’ is a beautifully moving and powerful song that focuses on love and the passing of time. It stirred our soul deeply.
Speaking about the song, Andy Hull states: “‘Telepath’ is ultimately about the ebb and flow of life long commitment to another person. Recognizing that even the best relationships in our lives can have extreme ups and downs. At the end of the day, it’s those that we have chosen to love and, more importantly, those that have chosen to love us that truly matter. This is my attempt to further commit for the long haul.”
Alongside the new album’s release, Manchester Orchestra have also announced Transmissions from Echo Mountain: A Countdown to The Million Masks of God, a 12-hour event broadcast on YouTube on Thursday 29th April, where the songs and exclusive content will be revealed.
