Singer songwriter Tom Bright has just shared his achingly beautiful song, ‘Pull Me Up’ ahead of his upcoming album ‘Somewhere Anywhere’ out on 20th October 2023. Shimmering with grit, tenderness and redemption, Tom sings, “When I’m stuck down the well of my own personal hell you pull me up” with the lyrical ripple later in the song:” When you’re stuck down a well of your own personal hell I will pull you up.” There’s exceptional craftsmanship and allegorical imagery floating over the buoyant riffs, transported by Tom’s melodic, worldly vocals. Like the “sea mirrors the sky” or the “wind takes the kite” the song is a stunning ode to human kindness and resilience in the face of darkness.
Based around a conversation between friends the track, fittingly, features a guest appearance from one of his best friends, singer-songwriter Sam Brookes and was co-written with Richard Walters as an ode to a relationship that they’d both be lost without.
Described as “One of the UK’s most moving songwriters” by John Kennedy on Radio X. Tom Bright’s 2023 has seen him appear on BBC’s The One Show, interviewed on BBC Radio 2, live in session on Radio X, perform at The London Palladium, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Glastonbury Festival, Celtic Connections and many more.
Tom has been on the road constantly supporting the likes of Mystery Jets, Tom Grennan and Reverend & The Makers just to name a few. In a career that’s seen him work with Mick Jones (The Clash) and Matt Johnson (The The), share a stage with Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and having his guitar signed by Johnny Marr (The Smiths), he can be found in Spotify’s ‘Most Beautiful Songs in the World’ playlist and has turned the attention of many a radio head, from Guy Garvey to John Kennedy.

Before his musical endeavours, Tom was once the UK’s youngest pub landlord, and underwent a multitude of major life-saving operations at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
His third album, ‘Somewhere Anywhere’, will be released on 20th October 2023. Produced by Ed Harcourt and mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, it’s his most personal and reflective work to date. He will be at Rough Trade West on the release day doing a vinyl signing, then live on Radio X the following night with John Kennedy, before embarking on an intimate and engaging headline UK tour.
