Fleetwood Mac Detail Live Double LP Circa 1977, Release “Dreams”

Fleetwood Mac have announced a new live album titled Rumours Live will hit the shelves on Sept. 8 through Rhino. This album was recorded during the band’s Rumours Live tour at The Forum in Los Angeles on Aug. 29, 1977. In celebration of the announcement of the release, a sneak peek of the LP was shared in the form of their performance of “Dreams.”

Available in digital format, double LP, and double CD, Rumours Live is comprised of nearly 90 minutes of previously unreleased music. The concert’s setlist predominantly features tracks from Fleetwood Mac’s first two albums, namely their self-titled album and Rumours, both of which were recorded by the legendary lineup consisting of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Lindsey Buckingham. Fans can look forward to spectacular performances of hits like “Landslide,” “Songbird,” “The Chain” and “Rhiannon.”

The Forum concert remained hidden for several decades until 2021 when “Gold Dust Woman,” performed during the show, was included as a bonus track on Rhino’s extended version of Fleetwood Mac’s 1980 concert album, Live: Deluxe Edition. The remaining 17 songs on the collection have never been heard before.

Fleetwood Mac originally released Rumours, their 11th studio album, on Feb. 4, 1977. The project was produced by the band in collaboration with Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut. To promote Rumours, the band embarked on an extensive worldwide tour known as the Rumours Tour, which saw them perform in North America, the U.K., Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. The upcoming release was captured during one of the tour’s three shows at The Forum in August 1977, where nearly 50,000 fans attended.

The black-vinyl version includes two 180-gram records housed in a gatefold jacket with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Additionally, a crystal clear-vinyl version of the LPs will be exclusively available at Wal-Mart.
