After Latto referenced Coi Leray’s body size in her new track “Put it On Da Floor,” Coi responded on social media, calling out Latto’s body-shaming lyrics and even challenging her to a fight. Latto has yet to respond, leaving fans wondering if a confrontation between the two rappers will actually take place.
On Friday, April 21, 2023, Latto released a new track titled “Put it on da floor,” where she referenced Coi Leray’s body size, stating, “blunt big as Coi Leray.” Clearly, this did not sit well with Coi, who promptly took to Twitter to express her displeasure with Latto’s lyrics.
Coi tweeted, “Let’s fight 😅,” which many fans saw as a challenge to Latto.
She then followed up with a series of tweets, including one that read:
“Latto bye. 😴 here you go taking about my body. Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this shit is never ending.”
Coi believes Latto’s lyrics are attacking her for something she has no control over – her body size – which has faced criticism in the past. Coi expressed this sentiment in another tweet, where she wrote:
“If you don’t like me , support me or fwm don’t mention my name. Period. Shit don’t make sense. I don’t know none of you bitches in real life. Stay in y’all lane and leave me outta the bullshit. I be minding my business and showing real love offline.”
It is unclear at this time whether or not Latto will respond to Coi’s tweets, but the situation has certainly caused a stir among fans of both artists. Some have praised Coi for standing up for herself, while others have criticized her for taking things too personally.
Coi has been vocal about her disapproval of body shaming. In 2022, she urged people to stop this toxic practice and “spread love,” stating that everyone should be respected regardless of their body type.
Coi Leray Speaks On BBLs
However, Coi had something to say about the girls who get BBLs back in 2022. In an interview with podcasters from Million Dollaz Worth of Game, New Jersey artist Coi Leray says the BBL baddies should maintain their bodies after surgery.
