Telluride Bluegrass Festival has delivered its 50th-anniversary artist lineup for the beloved gathering in Telluride, Colo. This year’s multi-day musical event will take place from June 15 through 18 and boasts a first-class list of live entertainment.
The summertime conclave presents the return of many festival veterans, who will once again arrive in the box canyon town and gift their music to a receiving audience. The favored duo, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, top this year’s lineup. Also included on the bill are longtime friends of the festival and Colorado favorites, The String Cheese Incident.
The three-day occasion in the Centennial State will feature a matchup of Emmylou Harris and Watchhouse, as well as the highly anticipated return of Nickel Creek. Other venerable musical presentations will include frames from Sam Bush, as well as an appearance by the original Béla Fleck & The Flecktones lineup.
The packed lineup continues with Punch Brothers, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Peter Rowan Band, and many added players that will take inspiration from the natural surroundings and replicate its beauty in song.
On the topic of the five-decade festival milestone, Director of Communication and Partnerships for Planet Bluegrass, Grace Barrett offered: “There is such plentiful history in Telluride, from the rich age of mining to the plethora of exceptional musicians that have serenaded the valley floor over the years, and we couldn’t have made it here without the devotion of each and every one of our Festivarians.
