The fabled Luck Reunion will return to Willie Nelson’s renowned Texas ranch this spring. The folks behind the 11th annual event dropped the artist lineup for this year’s self-proclaimed “anti-festival,” which is scheduled to occur on March 12.
Headlining the favored Lone Star State affair are Nelson and Family, Terry Allen & The Panhandle Mystery Band, Spoon as well as Austin’s own, Shane Smith & The Saints. Sierra Ferrell, Jason Scott and The High Heat, Particle Kid, The Heavy Heavy, The Gold Dregs, Guster, Fruitbats, and more have also signed on to perform.
The one-day event will boast a set in honor of the late Leon Russell. The frame of tribute tunes will feature Beau Bedford and Robert Ellis, with special guests–who have not yet been named. In addition to a homage to Russell, Luck Reunion will also feature a salute to music great Doug Sahm, which is billed to include The Texas Tornadoes with second-generation musician Shawn Sahm and Friends.
Since its start in 2012, the Luck Reunion has established itself as an exceptional live music experience known for its idiosyncratic lineup of talent. The 2023 edition will continue the tradition, which was established more than 10 years ago, when it returns to the outskirts of Austin this spring.
