Today, premium and family-owned and operated clothing brand Faherty announced it will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a musical celebration, a Sun Session, at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York on March 1. The event, which will be in support of the Surfrider Foundation –a 501 grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches–will be headlined by Moon Taxi with additional performances by Forester.
Faherty was founded in 2013 by twin brothers Alex & Mike Faherty and Alex’s wife, Kerry Docherty. They have since maintained a connection with the community by keeping mindfulness, quality and values rooted in sustainability at its core. One of the most enduring and beloved aspects of their brand is their ongoing Sun Sessions which includes a concert, the opportunity to shop Faherty’s current collection, and membership to Surfrider with each ticket purchased.
“Celebrating 10 years is a huge milestone for us and we’re so excited that we could do this while supporting our long-term partner, the Surfrider Foundation,” said Docherty in a statement. “We’ve been able to create amazing moments through our Sun Sessions event series that bring and bring people together around creativity, community, and conversation. And it’s deepened our connection to so many.”
The 10th-anniversary Sun Session is set to be the biggest to date, which has inspired many to relax, connect and create over retreats, meals and conversation, along with past events featuring musical performances from the likes of the Lone Below, The Head and the Heart, Rayland Baxter and more.
