Ahead of its official release tomorrow, we are luck enough to premiere a sneak peak of the eccentric new EP, titled ZEN, from rising Victorian rapper Cooper.
A uniquely strung new-age songwriter cross rapper, Cooper doesn’t quite fit the mould of your generic emcee, as he fuses various elements of Hip-Hop with a wide array of other genres and sounds to make for what is a distinct and dynamic style.
His brand new EP, ZEN, is a look into his world, in what is ultimately a wide-ranging, coming-of-age project for the Gembrook product that features production from legendary Australian producers such as Matik, One Above and Jon Reichardt.
Below we have the exclusive premiere to three of the tracks set to be released as a part of the EP tomorrow.
Counting The Days is an introspective track dealing with the fleeting nature of life and living in the moment.
Thanking The Universe keeps the concept and pace of the EP on track with what is a groovy and grateful tongue-in-cheek anthem.
The Unknown then gives us a glimpse of a reflective, inquisitive Cooper, as he blends indie, pop and Hip-Hop with (what is now) a trademark ease.
There is zero doubt in our minds that Cooper is more-than-ready to blow up on a major scale in Australia in the coming months, so why not hop on board early and listen to his debut project ZEN.
