Frank Turner Announces 'Be More Kind' LP, Unveils North American Tour

Three years on from sharing his collection  Positive Songs for Negative People, Frank Turner has lifted the curtain on a follow-up full-length.

Titled Be More Kind, Turner's latest LP is set to arrive May 4 through Xtra Mile/Polydor UK/Interscope. The 13-track album was produced by Charlie Hugall (Halsey, Florence + the Machine), Austin Jenkins and Joshua Block (White Denim).

Turner has shared a second song from the record, titled "1933." A press release explains it was inspired from articles Turner had read that suggested the alt-right was punk rock.

"That filled me with a mixture incredulity and anger," Turner said. "The idea that Breitbart or Steve Bannon think they have anything to do with punk rock makes me extremely angry."

Turner had previously shared album track "There She Is" late last year.

The songwriter and his band the Sleeping Souls have also mapped out a tour North America alongside the album announcement, taking him around the continent from May through October on the "Be More Kind World Tour." Lucero, the Menzingers and the Homeless Gospel Choir are set to provide support.
